Systems and software engineering — Developing user documentation in an agile environment

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers/ISO/IEC / 15-Mar-2012 / 36 pages

ISO/IEC/IEEE 26515:2012 specifies the way in which user documentation can be developed in agile development projects. It is intended for use in all organizations that are using agile development, or are considering implementing their projects using these techniques. It applies to people or organizations producing suites of documentation, to those undertaking a single documentation project, and to documentation produced internally, as well as to documentation contracted to outside service organizations. ISO/IEC/IEEE 26515:2012 addresses the relationship between the user documentation process and the life cycle documentation process in agile development. It describes how the information developer or project manager may plan and manage the user documentation development in an agile environment. It is intended neither to encourage nor to discourage the use of any particular agile development tools or methods.

IEEE Guide–Adoption of ISO/IEC TR 24748-2:2011 Systems and Software Engineering– Life Cycle Management– Part 2: Guide to the Application of ISO/IEC 15288 (System Life Cycle Processes)

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers / 18-Apr-2012 / 96 pages

ISO/IEC TR 24748-2:2011 is adopted by this standard. ISO/IEC TR 24748-2:2011 is a guide for the application of ISO/IEC 15288:2008. It addresses system, life cycle, process, organizational, project, and adaptation concepts, principally through reference to ISO/IEC TR 24748-1 and ISO/IEC 15288:2008. It then gives guidance on applying ISO/IEC 15288:2008 from the aspects of strategy, planning, application in organizations, and application on projects. ISO/IEC TR 24748-2:2011 is intentionally aligned with both ISO/IEC TR 24748-1 and ISO/IEC TR 24748-3 (Guide to the application of ISO/IEC 12207) in its terminology, structure and content.

Recommendations for Design, Manufacture, & Installation of Concrete Piles

American Concrete Institute / 01-Mar-2012 / 68 pages

Piles are slender structural elements installed in the
ground to support a load or compact the soil. They are
made of several materials or combinations of materials and
are installed by impact driving, jacking, vibrating, jetting,
drilling, grouting, or combinations of these techniques. Piles
are difficult to summarize and classify because there are
many types, and new types are still being developed. This
report covers only the types of piles currently used in North
American construction projects. A pile type can be assigned
a wide variety of names or classifications by various agencies,
codes, technical groups, and in various geographical regions.
No attempt is made herein to reconcile the wide variety of names used with a given pile type.

High-Voltage Electrical Inspection of Pipeline Coatings

National Association of Corrosion Engineers / 28-Oct-2011 / 8 pages

This standard presents acknowledged techniques for the use of holiday detectors currently used on pipeline coatings and
presents a table of minimum testing voltages for various coating thicknesses. These minimum testing voltages do not apply to
thin-film coatings (i.e., coating materials usually applied by a fusion-bonding process). Thin-film pipeline coatings are generally
applied to a dry film thickness less than 0.5 mm (20 mil).
