IEC 60601-2-65:2012+A1:2017 applies to the basic safety and essential performance of dental intra-oral X-ray equipment and its main components. The scope of this standard is restricted to X-ray equipment where the X-ray tube assembly contains the high-voltage transformer assembly. Dental extra-oral X-ray equipment is excluded from the scope of this standard. This particular standard has been prepared to provide, based on IEC 60601-1:2005 and its collaterals, a complete set of basic safety and essential performance requirements for dental intra-oral X-ray equipment. While the previously existing standards for such equipment were dedicated to components and subsystems, this particular standard addresses the system level of dental intra-oral X-ray equipment. Components and their functions are addressed as far as necessary. This consolidated version consists of the first edition (2012) and its amendment 1 (2017). Therefore, no need to order amendment in addition to this publication.

IEC 61326-3-2:2017 covers all equipment within the scope of IEC 61326-1, but is limited to systems and equipment for industrial applications within a specified electromagnetic environment and intended to perform safety functions as defined in IEC 61508 with SIL 1-3.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 2008. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
– extension of the frequency range up to 6 GHz for the radio-frequency electromagnetic field test according to IEC 61000-4-3,
– replacement of the performance criterion FS with DS according to the generic standard IEC 61000-6-7,
– adding Table 1 – Aspects to be considered during application of performance criterion DS,
– including immunity tests for devices with current consumption > 16 A according to IEC 61000-4-34,
– updating Figure A.1 and Figure 1 for better readability,
– adding tests according to IEC 61000-4-16 to replace the tests according to IEC 61000-4-6 in the frequency range between 10 kHz and 150 kHz.

IEC 62974-1:2017 specifies product and performance requirements for devices that fall under the heading of “monitoring and measuring systems used for data collection, gathering and analysis”, for industrial, commercial and similar use rated below or equal to 1 kV AC and 1,5 kV DC.
These devices are fixed and are intended to be used indoors as panel-mounted devices, or as modular devices fixed on a DIN rail, or as housing devices fixed on a DIN rail, or as devices fixed by other means inside a cabinet.
These devices are used to upload or download information (energy measured on loads, power metering and monitoring data, temperature information…), mainly for energy efficiency purposes. These devices are known as energy servers, energy data loggers, data gateways and I/O data concentrators.

Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-97: Particular requirements for drives for rolling shutters, awnings, blinds and similar equipment

IEC 60335-2-97:2016 deals with the safety of electric drives for shutters, blinds and awnings, intended for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase drives and 480 V for other drives. Battery-operated drives and other d.c. supplied drives are within the scope of this standard. Examples of equipment that can be driven are:

  • spring controlled folding arm awnings;
  • curtains;
  • grilles covering doors and windows;
  • projection screens;
  • shutters covering doors and windows and draperies. Drives may be supplied with a driven part. Drives not intended for normal household use but that nevertheless may be a source of danger to the public, such as drives intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry, on farms and on industrial premises, are within the scope of this standard. Attention is drawn to the fact that for drives intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. This standard does not apply to
  • drives intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas);
  • drives for vertically moving garage doors for residential use (IEC 60335-2-95);
  • drives for rolling doors (IEC 60335-2-103);
  • drives used in premises such as hangars or in heavy industry and drives for theatre curtains. As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home. However, in general, it does not take into account:
  • persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction or
  • children playing with the appliance. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2002 including its Amendment 1 (2004) and its Amendment 2 (2008). It constitutes a technical revision. The principal changes in this edition as compared with the second edition of IEC 60335-2-97 are as follows (minor changes are not listed):
  • Deleted “rolling” from the title and modified the scope to cover appliance types other than shutters, awnings, and blinds that are operated in a rolling way;
  • Revised 19.13 to allow drives to obtain a safe position;
  • Added 19.101 to provide a new abnormal test for drives with rated operating time;
  • Added 20.104.4 to establish a test intended to cover horizontal movement (non-rolling) drive parts;
  • Added 20.104.5 to provide an additional test to cover rolling grills to address the risk of being lifted;
  • Modified 22.46 and Annex R to introduce software requirements for programmable electronic circuits used to comply with Clause 20;
  • Added 22.101 to introduce a requirement to prevent inadvertent adjustments that would lead to unsafe application of drives;
  • Added examples of swing shutters and sliding shutters in Figure 101.

The attention of National Committees is drawn to the fact that equipment manufacturers and testing organizations may need a transitional period following publication of a new, amended or revised IEC publication in which to make products in accordance with the new requirements and to equip themselves for conducting new or revised tests. It is the recommendation of the committee that the content of this standard be adopted for implementation nationally not earlier than 12 months or later than 36 months from the date of publication.

IEC 61076-3-104:2017(E) establishes uniform specifications, type testing requirements for 8 way, shielded free and fixed connectors for data transmissions with frequencies up to 2 000 MHz, and used as category 7A connectors in class FA cabling systems specified in ISO/IEC 11801-1. It contains all test methods and sequences, severity and preferred values for dimensions and characteristics.
This third edition of IEC 61076-3-104 cancels and replaces the second edition, published in 2006, and constitutes a technical revision.
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
– the title has been changed to incorporate transmissions with frequencies up to 2 000 MHz;
– the drawings of some styles have been corrected for clarification;
– Figures 23 and 24 have been updated;
– Figure 3 has been updated to include reference dimensions and dimensional format changes;
– the dimensions of Figure 7 have been updated;
– the type designation and ordering information has been removed for consistency with the most updated sectional specification;
– the test schedule was updated to include appropriate IEC 60512 Test Nos;
– the electrical performance requirements have been revised for 2 GHz level and interchangeability information has been added for performance categories.

Expression of performance of gas analyzers – Part 1: General

IEC 61207-1:2010 specifies the terminology, definitions, requirements for statements by manufacturers and tests that are common to all gas analyzers. It is applicable to analyzers specified for permanent installation in any location (indoors or outdoors) and to such analyzers utilizing either a sample handling system or an in situ measurement technique. It is applicable to the complete analyzer when supplied by one manufacturer as an integral unit, comprised of all mechanical, electrical and electronic portions. It also applies to sensor units alone and electronic units alone when supplied separately or by different manufacturers. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1994 and constitutes a technical revision. The significant technical changes with respect to the first edition are the following:
– all references (normative and informative) have been updated, deleted or added, as appropriate;
– all the terms and definitions relating to this International Standard have been updated;
– all references to “errors” have been replaced by “uncertainties” and appropriate updated definitions applied.
Where only one value is quoted for a performance specification, such as intrinsic uncertainty, linearity uncertainty or repeatability throughout a measurement range, this has now been defined as the maximum value, rather than an average or “representative” value. This was previously undefined. Where zero and 100 % span calibration gases are used, there is now a defined requirement that the analyser must be able to respond within its standard performance specifications beyond its normal measurement range, to allow for any under or over response of the instrument to be recorded. A new Annex A has been added giving recommended standard values of influence.

IEC 62150-5:2017 specifies test and measurement procedures for the wavelength channel tuning time of tuneable transmitters. It applies to laser transmitters, and to the transmitter portion of transceivers. This procedure examines whether the device or module satisfies the appropriate performance specification. The method described in this document uses optical filters to transfer the transition of the output wavelength to the transition of the optical power. This is because the transient response of the output wavelength before stabilization at steady-state of the target wavelength channel is too fast to measure using a wavelength meter or an optical spectrum analyser. Reference optical filter sets are described in Annex A.
